A proud Fort Lauderdale native and the daughter of Jamaican immigrants, Tasha M. Simmonds, Esq., brings a deep commitment to justice and community to every client she serves. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Commercial Music Business from Florida Atlantic University, and went on to complete her legal training at Barry University School of Law, where she began practicing family law as a Certified Legal Intern.

Since becoming a licensed attorney in 2009, Attorney Simmonds has anchored her practice in family law, earning a reputation among her clients for a rare combination of unrelenting tenacity and genuine empathy. Her diverse professional background also includes handling estate planning, immigration, landlord-tenant, and entertainment law matters (covering copyright, trademark, and contracts) across private, solo, and government practice arenas.

Deeply dedicated to protecting the vulnerable, Tasha has spent years serving as a Guardian ad Litem for children caught in custody disputes or who have faced abuse, abandonment, and neglect. She has also acted as an Attorney ad Litem for dependent children with complex special legal needs, including human trafficking survivors. This background gives her a unique perspective on family stability, fueling a strong, underlying passion for men’s rights advocacy. Recognizing the vital, irreplaceable role that Dad plays in a child's life, she has proudly helped numerous children reunite with their dads, fighting tirelessly to preserve and protect those foundational bonds.​
